Cumin Lime Black-eyed Peas

This dish is a twist on a standard southern traditional black-eyed pea. Combining the flavors of India with Latin America, these peas have a flavor that tickles the tastebuds and has you coming back for more.

Serves 2

The Ingredients:
1 14oz Can black-eyed peas, drained
1 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp cumin
1 clove garlic, minced
1 Lime
Salt and Pepper to taste

How it's Made:
1. Open, drain can, pour contents into medium sauce pan over medium heat.
2. Add butter, garlic, cumin, salt and pepper, simmer for 10 minutes or until peas are tender.
3. Cut lime in quarters and juice into black-eyed peas, simmer for 5 minutes.
4. Pull from heat, garnish with lime and cilantro.
